Stratus 3

Web Development, User Experience, For Sanders New Media.

At Sanders New Media we do a lot jobs implementing our custom content management system. One of the first major projects I did at SNM was Fuji Film: Every Picture Matters, for that project I took the initial version of Stratus and heavily streamlined it and modified it to make the CMS for Fuji. However I still found some of the code to be inefficient and bloated at points. So I rewrote the entire core of Stratus and created an new UI for it.

The code was re-factored to be much more lightweight and DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself). I also redesigned the user interface to make it much easier to use for them. One of the features I added to note was a soft delete system so that when ever something was deleted on the backend it went into the "trash" giving users the ability to undo mistakes.

About

I am a Chicago based web developer about to graduate college from Columbia who also likes to dabble in UI design. I enjoy building all kinds of web applications in all types of languages. When coding I try to follow the DRY philosophy as best I can as well as making my web sites as semantic as possible. More about me.
